The Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival is offering the Mary Gustafson Memorial Scholarship to attend the Rio Diablo Birding Camp in June 2025. The one-week long camp which begins and ends in San Antonio is run by Texas A & M AgriLife Extension Wildlife and Fisheries. The camp takes young avid birders ages 14-18 on a trip to various locations throughout southwest Texas. The camp’s itinerary changes each year. The 2024 camp itinerary included visits to Big Bend National Park, Davis Mountains State Park, Devils River State Natural Area, Fort Clark Springs, Kickapoo Cavern State Park and other places.
